McDonald's

Mom and Dad took me to a great place this morning! It is called McDonald's and I want to go EVERYDAY! Here I am playing in the gym.

The party was great! I had so much fun with Isaac! And mama let me taste some cake. I really liked her friend and I hope that we get to see them again soon. Here are some pictures from the party.

Today we are going to a birthday party. I am so excited I cannot stand it. I've never met the boy but mama knows his mama from the internet. We got him a really cool present and I cannot wait to see him open it! I'm happy to meet new kids this afternoon, I'll be back later and tell you all about it!

Earth Day

April 22nd was Earth Day. It is a day to think about how great the earth is and think of how to make it better. How do you like my shirt? It is organic. I like it because it is green. On Earth Day mom had to rest because she had to work but she is trying really hard to keep the earth green by not using plastic bags or drinking water in a bottle and not using yucky cleaners around the house. She is also trying to feed me organic stuff and I like it. Dad and I went to the park and played in the grass again. This time I didn't cry since I didn't want to upset the earth.



Papa Joe and Mimi surprised me and came over yesterday with a shirt! A Red Sox shirt! It is so cute. Papa Joe said that it was to wear to the baseball games. I cannot wait to go to a baseball game. I hope mom lets me go this summer.

Fever

Wow. I had a rough couple of days! I have been burning up. Mom calls it a fever and says she was 'freaking out'. It got all the way up to 104 and dad had to take me to the emergency room. Mom cried because she had to go to work. I tried to tell her that I was going to be okay but she just looked at me. The doctor gave me a shot which I did not like at all but then he gave me a cool balloon so it was okay. I just got to see Dr. Key this morning. He is the coolest. Now I'm going back to Maryanne's house and I'm going to play with my friends. Mom says we can watch Bee Movie there today. I'm feeling much better already.

A Fun Weekend

I think riding in the stroller is my favorite thing to do. Mom takes me to so many cool places. Some days we go to the mall, some days to the grocery store and on my favorite days we go to the park! We have been really busy the last few days and mom hasn't had the chance to type for me. She has been too busy making me 'nutritious' meals to write in my blog. I wish I could eat cheetos every day. In the past couple of days she has let me taste so much stuff! Today I had blueberries and macaroni and cheese. It all tasted so good but my teeth are really hurting so I just threw it all on the floor. Mom says that she doesn't think that is funny but she always laughs when I do it so I keep doing it. I like it when she laughs. She was laughing really hard yesterday when Dad was taking me down the slide at the park. I love my parents.

I had a pretty exciting day today. I'm getting really good at using my walker. I can go really fast and Honey can barely get away from me now. Then my mom and dad took me to the park and I played with some funny green stuff called grass. At first I didn't like it, but after a while I decided it was alright except my skin was really itchy. Honey and Bentley had a really fun time in the grass. Then I got to take a shower with dad. We have so much fun! He lets me play in the bottom with all of my toys.

Granna and Papaw

My Granna and Papaw live in Texas but they come and visit me a lot. They were just here last week but I really miss them already. When I miss them I like to play with the toys they got me. Here is one of the toys they gave me last week. I'm getting really good at it!

Go Sox!

Today I get to go to Mimi and Papa Joe's house to watch the baseball game, I'm very excited. The Red Sox won the World Series last year and they think I'm their 'lucky charm' now, whatever that means. It's so much fun there because I get to play with Cosmo and I get to play with pots and pans. Mom says I can go 'swimming' there when it's warmer. I haven't been to Papa Joe's house for quite a few days. Last time they got me a big red wagon. I hope mom puts me in it today.

A Day's Delight: Grocery Shopping?

Who would've thought that grocery shopping could be the highlight of my day? I used to spend the day resting for the night ahead of me. I would spend hours on Myspace and texting my friends planning the evening. My life today is purely about enjoying my child. We take frequent excursions just to get out of the house, but today I had another motive! Caleb is eating 'real people food'. And he is so dang cute doing it! A few weeks ago we started with puffs and then he would get some chopped banana or apple with his babyfood. What was on the list today? Carrots, peas, graham crackers, cherrios, cheese, pears and anything else I could find along the way. Sometimes it's hard to find the motivation to get up and make myself something decent to eat, but when it comes to this little man nothing can get in my way.

Oh Mama.

Man is my mom cranky this morning. She's had to start working at night time so last night I decided to stay up and play with her. She kept saying SHHhh and and turning out the lights so I would cry, 'Hey Mooooom!'. I don't know why she didn't want to play. It seemed like we had just got to sleep when Dad yelled and woke us all up. Poor soul, he never stood a chance this morning, good thing he had to work today.

In the darkness of the night, he found my eyes and laughed.



Is there anything more rewarding than an 8-month old's laugh? If there is, I can't think of it. Caleb has the most precious laugh I have ever heard, and the best part is, we get to hear it all the time. He is the happiest baby ever. He has brought the most incredible joy into my life.


Some of his favorite things right now are

1. Honey. It doesn't matter if he's eating, playing, crying or peeking beneath his eyelids after a long nap- Honey will make him laugh! Brad and I will be dancing on our heads to get a twitch of his lip but Honey just needs to be present.

4. A familiar face.
5. Baby Einstein Jumparoo
6. Bathtime
7. Attention
8. Jumping on the bed.
9. A full belly.
10. Tickling.
